Facebook Disconnet: Remove Facebook Social Plugins From All Webpages You Visit

Since the launch of Facebook fan pages and social plugins, the web was taken by a storm and most of the blogs started adding these widgets in their websites. Some of them may appear useful but they are really distracting when used within the content of a blog post.
If you do not “Like” the Facebook social plugins, recommendations and Like buttons displayed within the content of webpages, here is a Google Chrome extension which might help.
Google Engineer Brian Kennish has developed Facebook Disconnect – a Chrome extension which can be used to block all Facebook widgets appearing in any webpage you visit.  After the extension is installed, you will find that all the Facebook widgets are hidden in any website you visit. This includes, Facebook login button, Facebook like button, Recommendation widgets and Fan box.
Facebook Disconnect blocks all traffic from third-party sites to Facebook servers, yet you’ll still be able to access Facebook itself.
